Scope: FRP Strengthening Design & Installation
Structural Systems were invited to install carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) to strengthen the floor slab locally around some additional service penetrations. Design was by Arup, plate and adhesive was supplied by S & P Clever Reinforcements.
While on site Structural Systems were asked to design, supply and install a damped support frame to a dust extract machine which required relocation away from its existing concrete plinth, into an area of raised floor in one of the production workshops. Tico anti vibration pads were used to damp out the induced vibration from the oscillating equipment in the dust extract unit.
